About
What makes me a healthy human?
Knowing what works to satisfy my nutritional and lifestyle needs to be the heathiest human I can be.
Feeling connected to my body, a positive outlook, an honest recognition of when shit is just crazy,
healthy choices (at least 80% of the time), and a million blueberries (seriously – polyphenols are amazing!).

My Story
As a wife, mother, daughter, community volunteer, sports coach,
former ad agency exec and career-changer in my 40s - I get it!
Life can be hectic, and it can feel difficult to prioritize self over others.
For many years I struggled with digestive issues, poor sleep, fatigue
and brain fog, as well as anxiety and body dysmorphia. I bought into
the hype whenever it aligned with my own beliefs, but the benefits
never lasted.
My Portuguese roots and several life-changing moments helped
me to reset my expectations of what it means to be truly healthy.
Everyone has a tipping point, right?
In 2020, in the middle of a global pandemic, when most people were forced to put life on pause, I did the opposite. I became certified as a
Functional Nutrition Practitioner, learning how to create lasting
health and wellbeing with a "real food for real life" approach to
nutrition and lifestyle.
Once I had the foundational knowledge of what my body was lacking,
I applied a customized food-as-medicine approach specific to my nutritional needs and busy lifestyle, adding nutrients along with lifestyle changes. I got back on track with improved energy, metabolism,
mood, sleep, and overall quality of life. Happy to report, I am feeling healthier in my 40s than I did in my 20s.
Now, I lead virtual and in-person group programs, work one-on-one with Clients, and teach how to make smart decisions to nourish our bodies on a daily basis and get back into balance.
